Pull up a chair. There are beautiful things to make.
Sometimes, the best learning happens around a well-loved table.
We’ve designed our classes to be intentionally small, hands-on, and welcoming. Together we'll bake, create, write, grow, and celebrate the seasons. We make space for curiosity, conversation, and the deep satisfaction of crafting something with our own hands. Whether you come with a friend or arrive on your own, you'll always find an open chair, warm hospitality, and an invitation to linger.
An evening of flour-dusted hands, living cultures, and the quiet joy of making bread.
Sourdough is a timeless art. Flour, water, salt, and patience combine to make something far greater than the sum of their parts—a loaf that nourishes the body and the soul.
Join us for a cozy, hands-on baking experience hosted by Lilith Haus Baking Co. in partnership with The Fabled House. This intimate class is limited to just six participants and is designed to take the mystery out of sourdough, leaving you with the knowledge and confidence to continue baking at home.
Together, we'll:
— Learn the fundamentals of maintaining and feeding a healthy sourdough starter
— Mix and shape a rustic artisan loaf from scratch
— Explore the rhythms of fermentation, folding, proofing, and baking
— Sip a little wine (or cider), enjoy seasonal snacks, and linger over stories
— Head home with your own active sourdough starter, proofing basket, printed recipes and care guide, plus a freshly baked loaf to enjoy
Whether you've always wanted to learn sourdough or you've tried before and felt intimidated, this class offers an encouraging, welcoming space to slow down, ask questions, and discover the beauty of baking with wild yeast.

“I came expecting to learn how to make bread. I left believing ordinary days can be beautiful. Beth has created something truly special at The Fabled House.”
